By accessing or using the services of Cypress Security Integration LLC ("Cypress Security," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services Provided
Cypress Security provides comprehensive security integration services, including but not limited to:
- Video surveillance system design and installation
- Access control system implementation
- Intrusion detection systems
- Fire and life safety systems
- Network infrastructure for security systems
- System monitoring and maintenance
- Consulting and security assessments
3. Service Agreements
3.1 Project Scope
All projects begin with a comprehensive assessment and written proposal. The scope of work will be clearly defined in a contract that outlines deliverables, timelines, and costs.
3.2 Changes to Scope
Any changes to the agreed-upon scope of work must be documented in writing through a change order and may result in additional costs and timeline adjustments.
3.3 Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information about their security needs
- Ensuring site access for installation and maintenance
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals
- Maintaining adequate network infrastructure
- Timely payment of invoices
4. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be specified in individual service agreements. Typical terms include:
- Deposit required before project commencement
- Progress payments based on project milestones
- Final payment due upon project completion
- Monthly billing for monitoring and maintenance services
- Late payment fees may apply for overdue invoices
5. Warranties and Guarantees
5.1 Workmanship Warranty
We warrant that all installation work will be performed in a professional manner according to industry standards. Defects in workmanship will be corrected at no charge for one year from project completion.
5.2 Equipment Warranty
Equipment warranties are provided by the manufacturers. We will assist in warranty claims and provide support during the warranty period.
5.3 Limitations
Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, unauthorized modifications, natural disasters, or failure to maintain systems as recommended.
6. Limitation of Liability
While we strive to provide reliable security systems, no security system can prevent all incidents. Cypress Security shall not be liable for:
- Losses or damages resulting from criminal acts or security breaches
- Failure of systems due to power outages or network issues beyond our control
- Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
- Damages exceeding the total contract value
Our security systems are designed to reduce risk but cannot guarantee complete protection against all threats.
7. Monitoring Services
For clients using our monitoring services:
- Services are provided 24/7/365
- Response procedures will be defined in the monitoring agreement
- Clients must maintain emergency contact information
- False alarm fees may apply as per local regulations
- Minimum contract terms may apply
8. Maintenance and Support
Regular maintenance is essential for system reliability. We offer maintenance agreements that include:
- Scheduled system inspections and testing
- Software updates and firmware patches
- Priority support response
- Discounted repair and replacement parts
9. Intellectual Property
All system designs, documentation, and proprietary configurations created by Cypress Security remain our intellectual property. Clients receive a license to use these materials for their intended purpose.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate services:
- For ongoing monitoring services: 30 days written notice
- For breach of contract: immediate termination with notice
- For non-payment: termination after 30 days of delinquency
Early termination fees may apply for contracts with minimum terms.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation between the parties
- Mediation if negotiation fails
- Binding arbitration as a final resort
- Governed by the laws of the State of Florida
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
